Just got back from perhaps the best weekend of my life. Spent the weekend in Dublin with 5 of my good friends. The more time I spend there, the more it makes me want to move there permanently. The nightlife was excellent the prices of clothes in the shops are a bit more reasonable, then Cork, and theres just alot more to choose from in every way possible. I could write and entire book on just this weekend alone, but I'll spare you all.
So on the 19th of May was the 4th anniversary of "The World According to Shawn". I can't believe I'm still writing blogs myself, but how cool will it be in another 20 years when I can look back and see all the stupid shit that I used to do when I was in my 20's. Happy Fourth Birthday!!!!

Only 3 days until my first visitor from America gets here. It's been about 8 months since I've been in Ireland now, and I am dying to hear someone with an American accent. Shea and I used to go out in Boston all the time, and used to have so much fun, it will be interesting doing it in another country. I actually met him while out at a nightclub in Boston. He was friends with some of the people I was out with, and somehow the two of us just clicked. He started driving up to Boston from Cape Cod every week just to go out and get wasted while chancing our arms at going home with someone on the scene, which almost never happened. So far the only thing planned while he is here is to go up to Dublin for 3 days to experience the Big Smoke properly.

What a day it was in sports yesterday! Manchester United won there 16th Premiership title, there first since 2003. Sir Alex Furgeson's 9th title since he's been manager of United, and Christiano Ronaldo's first as a regular player. The season that he put together this year is one of the best i have ever seen. He scored 23 goals in 38 games and took home the Player of the year award. In two weeks United can complete the season double by winning the FA Cup in the final against Chelsea.
Pete Sampras returned to professional tennis last week, on the Seniors tour and picked up right where he left off. He won the Senior Tours Championship in Boston yesterday. The first time he has played since winning the U.S. Open in 2002. He was definitely my favorite player before he retired, I'd like to see him play this years Wimbeldon and give Roger Federer some competition for a change.
Roger Clemens returned again to baseball, but this time with the New York Yankees. He was suppose to be retired 4 years ago, but every year since then he has announced a comeback. I really like Clemens but its getting old, he should just decide how much longer he wants to play and sign a multi-year contract once and for all. Having said that, a pitcher with 348 wins is a pretty big deal, so the Yankees should be in good shape this season.
