I was out last weekend with some friends I hadn't seen in a long time, including Damien who was back from England and Darren who came up from Ennis. It was really nice to have them here as I sometimes miss having my really good friends around me in Dublin. Everything is quite fast paced here and people seem to come and go just as fast in and out of your life. The really good friends of course even if you haven't seen them in 2 years as was the case with Damien and I, it was like we hadn't seen each other in a week.

A few years ago my friend Niall posted a video on my facebook and it was a guy explaining the Cork accent to someone who had never been there. I remember thinking the video was brilliant because from the time I spent living there it was very accurate. After that I subscribed to the YouTube users videos and I've seen many of them since then, his YouTube name is Goopery and this weekend I happened to run into him here in Dublin. I'm not sure if it was more embarrassing on my part that I recognized him or that I took a picture with him, but in any case that is the infamous Goopery in my picture.
