Since my last blog I picked up a few more shifts at work, and actually worked about 6 days in a row over the last week. Sunday night the temperature outside reached 2 C and I felt like a person who wasn't used to cold weather at all. I kept thinking to myself it's definitely colder in Ireland now than it was a few years ago when I lived here. So I decided to do some research. I took a look at the weather reports for December 4
th, 5
th, 6
th, and 7
th over the past 5 years to get a small sample. I found that the temperatures were trending downward but only by about a degree or two, so not really enough to feel a significant difference. While my findings aren't exactly enough evidence to prove that climate change is taking effect, I think it is enough to prove that I will take sometime to get readjusted to this cold weather.
Next week Lucas will be coming over to visit from Phoenix, I'm excited as I already will have more visitors this time around in only 3 months than I had in 2 years last time. Should be a fun few weeks, as we plan on fitting in lots of sightseeing. Its his first time in Ireland, thinking back to what that felt like I think Temple Bar, the
Guinness Storehouse, and perhaps some of the castles will be the most breath-taking things to see.
