2010 is coming to a close, and it feels like it was the fastest year of my life. 363 days are gone and only two are left, and I have to say this year was a giant learning experience. I decided to take a different approach to my post and instead of writing it out in paragraphs it might be easier to read if I do bullet points to sum up my year in learning.
- In 2010 I learned that the older you get the more important family and friends become.
- I learned that long distance relationships aren't real relationships.
- I learned that where you are is just as important as who you are with.
- I learned that taking a great trip with great people is priceless.
- I learned that sometimes a musician can put into words exactly what you are feeling.
- I learned when you put all your faith in someone that's when they'll disappoint you the most.
- I learned people seldom listen, but just wait there turn to speak.
- I learned that without the rainy days, its hard to appreciate the sunny days.
- I learned being honest doesn't get you the job of your dreams.
- I learned appendixes don't give you much warning before they rupture.
- I learned that a good mother makes many sacrifices along the way for her children.
- I learned that Avatar wasn't really as good as people made it out to be.
- I learned what it is like to own an apple product.
- I learned that the Lamp Lighter knows how to host one hell of a birthday party.
- I learned that love should be classified as an element not just an emotion.
- I learned people don't really change, they just reveal their true selves very slowly.
Most importantly, I stopped writing for most of the year, and then came back to it because I learned that my outlet for my feelings comes in the form of writing.
I'm very excited about 2011, because to start off the year I will be in San Francisco, with two of my really good friends, can't ask for a better start to the year than that. As the year goes on I will try to write more frequently, and about all the exciting things that will most likely be happening. Happy New Years everyone.
