For about the last 18 months, Lady Gaga has dominated pop music here in America. I like some of her songs, while others I find slightly annoying. However she just made a new enemy by her antics last week in New York. When I found out she was a Yankees fan that was bad enough, but as it turns out. She went to a game a Citi Field ( Home of the Mets) and decided to give players and fans the middle finger. How can anyone dislike the Mets that much, they don't even win anything? She might do great things in the world of music, but she should stay away from sports if she is going to be a faux New Yorker but supporting the evil empire.

So this is my first post since November 2009. I'm writing this post from my living room in San Diego, California. Since my last post a lot has happened, and I will catch you up on most of the stuff, going back to the beginning of 2010. First of all Happy New year, whether 2010 will be good or not is still being determined. So far the first 6 months have been miserable.
In January, near the end of the month, I was sitting in this very seat i sit in now. I was watching a movie that I had seen maybe 10 times before, and out of no where I got the worst stomach pain I had ever had. After about an hour it was clear that the pain was only getting worse, and that this was no ordinary stomach ache. I drove myself to the emergency room, which was foolish of me, because I could barely drive. Hours later the doctor told me that I had appendicitis and it was good that it was caught so early or else the situation could have been 10 times worse. I had a surgery to remove my appendix and then spent the next 4 or 5 days recovering. The best thing that came out of that situation, was that I got to spend a week with my mum. She came out to take care of me for the week while I recovered.
Moving on to February, where things were a little brighter. I took a trip to Austin, Texas to visit my friend Michael Joseph at the University of Texas. This time I got to spent significantly more time in Austin, and I had a really good time, maybe too much of a good time especially on 6th street. There is a video of me riding the mechanical bull floating out there somewhere.
In March there was more bad news, as I found out for certain that I would not be able to move to England by the goal I had set of September 2010. I of course followed that news up by immediately purchasing a ticket to London for March 18th through the 22nd. I either told most people in San Diego I was going to New York, or I conveniently forgot to mention it at all. I flew from San Diego to Calgary and then onto London arriving on the 19th of March. I had an amazing 3 days in the UK, and then returned the same route on Air Canada. The trip might have seemed rushed and quite out of place, but it was a trip that I had to take for my sanity.
In April my best friend from Boston Jeff B came out to visit. He spent a little less than a week here, and we had a really good time, including driving out to Las Vegas, with my roommate Antoine and my friend Jason.
Since April, I've gone to LA to visit my friend Jay, and another old friend from Boston Alex has come out to visit. In between all the visitors and trips, my life here in SD has been pretty stable and ordinary. Ordinary is a good thing, but even so San Diego hasn't grown on me in the way I thought it would when I first moved here. I thought to myself that maybe I haven't given it a fair chance, but then the summer of 2009 comes to mind. Last summer was probably the best time of my life.
The Summer of 2010 is fast approaching and it has a lot to live up to. I will make a better effort to write more so that I am not trying to condense months of information into a few readable paragraphs.
