How did you do?


The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care.

I heard this on the radio this morning, and I thought it was brilliant. Charles Schultz the comic writer, wrote this more than 30 years ago. I find it amazing how timeless certain pieces of writing can be. I hope that when I write, atleast a paragrapgh out of all I have written so far can be considered timeless. The funny thing about that, is that I will never know. By the time something is considered a classic piece of writing the author is usually long gone.  ¶ 11:07 AM
