Last night I went to a wine tasting event for work. There were several different types of wine, and as usual I prefered the whites to the reds. The one I liked the most was a Savignon Blanc, it was excellent and I wanted another glass of it, but we were limited to one.
It was the first time I have ever been to a wine tasting and it was just as posh as it sounds. People standing around in there best evening gowns and servers keeping every glass filled with your choice of red or white wine. The conversation was drab, as everyone spoke about work and boring business ventures. The drinks changed as the night went on, but the stuffy upperclass atmosphere remained, the chatter just shifted from work to politics.
There is another wine tasting event in Limerick in 2 weeks, which I think I have to attend as well for Interconnection. I could get used to doing things like this if I don't have to pay for it.
