Tonight I am hosting a party at my place, for my friend James' 21st birthday. The real star of the show is the bottle of absinth that will be in attendance. I have never tried it before, but there is much folklore around this drink. All I know about it, is that it is illegal in the U.S. so Americans go crazy for it when they are abroad, especially in Eastern Europe. I am actually getting a second bottle of it later this month, when my friend from the Czech Republic heads home for a week, I think I will keep that one as a souvenir.

Well, Americans go crazy of the (supposedly) hallucinogenic absinthe... Since it's made differently depending on where you go. Let us know how it is and how your hostess skills are. Are you gonna have a cheese plater? Some chips and dip? Yeah? Gonna have a nice little get together? Going to play some Barry Manilow to set the mood? Yeah? Are ya?
