May 19th proved to be a day with two tales to tell. The first was how wonderful the day went. Hanging out in a bar in Allston all day drinking with friends. The second is something of a horror story.
I hung out with Jeff, Adam from BU, and Jeff Allen for a little bit yesterday, at the Sunset bar and grill in Allston, which was amazing. It's very rare that people that I like actually get along, and are able to function in a group.
Story number 2, was me leaving Allston around 11, and riding down Mass ave. with a bottle of champagne in one hand and a trying to steer my bike with the other. I was right around, the Sleep-O'rama, mattress store when I got rear-ended by a car. I went face first into a parked cars rearview mirror, and as you can see in the picture I have the scars to prove it. Spending the night in the emergency room was just how I wanted to spend my friday night. The two pictures were taken less than 24 hours apart, scary huh?

Happy 3rd Birthday "World According to Shawn" - Who knew that I would be writing crap every 3 days or so, for this long. There is no better way to celebrate than to write about more of the same crap. Well that of course and drinking some sort of alcohol.
I started working this week for Kennison staffing, and the first assignment is working for an accounting firm in downtown Boston, right around the financial district. I must say the job has been pretty amazing so far. The guy who I work for, left the office yesterday around 11 and came back a little after 3, which was a little suspicious, he later told me that the weather was so nice he had to go play his first golf of the year. So he snuck away from the office and played 9 holes of golf, needless to say I was jealous. Even though I am possibly the worst golfer in the world, it still would have been fun to go play. I think this will be an interesting summer job, because it seemingly will work around my availability.
Big California trip is coming up in only 8 more days, I am so excited right now. I wasn't even this excited about Las Vegas, perhaps that has something to do with why that trip was so bland.

So the Premiership has been decided and Chelsea won for the second year in a row, while Manchester United finished second again. Thierry Herny from Arsenal scored a league leading 27 goals to lock up another Golden Boot award. I'm really surprised that United hasn't made an attempt to purchase his contract yet.
In other news The baseball season has been very exciting so far, the Mets jumped out to a big lead in the NL East, which they are slowly losing everday now. I hope that they realize that what they need is another reliable starting pitcher to go along with Pedro Martinez and Tom Glavine.
Also as I mentioned breifly before, I am slated to go to San Diego on May 27th, at the time when the trip was originally planned everything was okay. Since that time my roomates Zack and Kevin have moved out, due to a rowdy table bashing attic party, and they informed Josh that they didn't want to be in the same room as me in San Diego. Which for a couple of days threw a wrench into the whole thing, since then Josh and I have booked a seperate room, and they even changed thier flight plans, so I guess everything worked it's self out.

It's already the 4th day in May, this year is going by at what seems like warp speed. This past week I had a little incident with one of my grades, and here's the story. I took an exam last week after staying up all night studying for it. Apparently I mixed up every single answer on the exam, putting the right answers for everything in the wrong spots. My professor was nice enough to send me an email the following day and tell me that he didn't want to give me a failing grade for the test, instead he would let me re-write the essay question and base my grad off of that. So, yesterday at 11 a.m. I sat in his office and re-took the essay question, afterwards he said to me that he would send me an email telling me what my grade was. I was so nervous that I didn't check the email until 10 minutes ago, to find out that I passed the exam which is the best news that I have recived all week. I did need the 4 credits from the class in order to graduate, so I guess everything somehow worked out in the end, and that is how my career as a college student at Northeastern University comes to an end. I am left with bitter sweet emotions, happy because I am now a college graduate, but sad because this means that the best period in my life so far has come to an end.
