I have long wondered how and why the NY Times is regarded as the best publication in the country. They have had there share of scandals in the past few years and seem to be just as much involved in the corporate world as Wal-Mart or Starbucks so what makes them better than anyone else? I have long thought that the best publication in the country was Newsweek to be honest. I have never read an article in Newsweek that I thought was biased leaning to the left or the right. You get the story a little more indepth than you would in the "Times" and the writing seems flawless. When you compare the NY Times to a paper like the "Boston Herald" then its easy to see how it is superior but how is it better than say the "Miami Herald" or "USA Today"?
