So, works almost over, and tomorrow theres a small party for all the interns. At first they were asking us all to bring in some sort of dessert, but then our supervisor Todd decided that the company should pay for everything, and we all had to choose what kind of cake we wanted. My first choice was a lemon flavored cake, but then Sarah another intern, told us all that she is allergic to lemons, so someone came up with coconut, but I hate coconut. Normally i would have just sat there and pretended I was ok with it but for some reason, I yelled " that is so gross". I got a couple of awkward stares but I didn't care I wasn't about to eat a coconut flavored cake. Well in the end we decided on just getting a cheese cake it was the only thing everyone agreed on.
My post hasn't been working right since I've been home, I had no idea how to fix it for months but I think I may have solved the problem now. Where do I begin, I guess I could tell you that I have made a few drastic realizations in the past few months. One of the hardest things in life is being dissapointed in someone, when you give up something you would rather be doing in order to spend a day with someone you care about, it makes them happy. When you can spend hours watching mindless television with someone and turn that into one of the best days in your life, you have made a real friend. When that person decides that your time together wasn't worth shit, and doesn't have the guts to tell you that, but instead hides behind a cloud of laughter and " remember whens". Well, that hurts and I can only think of a handful of things that may hurt worst. There are two things you could do in this situation, you can give up on friendships period, but then what would you accomplish. The other is use this to make yourself stronger, realize that the only person who matters in your life is "you", and become the best damn person you can be to yourself of course.
