Today is officially the first day of Fall and although the summer is gone I like to look back at what I did this summer. Usually during the summer I take one two week vacation and go somewhere, but this year it was a string of smaller trips. The first one was in June when I went to Chicago which turned out to be a good time, its only flaw was that I went alone cause no one else could go at the time. The next one came in August when I went to Newport, Rhode Island for the Apple and Eve festival that wasn't as much fun as it should have been. Then there was Portland and Augusta, Maine these two towns took me by surprise. I expected Augusta to be the big city of Maine manily because its the capital but it was smaller than the town I live in New Jersey. Portland however was amazing, its situated on a hill so when your driving towards it you can see its buildings from pretty far away and the Harbor is great there are about 5 Islands that you can see when standing on the shore. The last stop on my list for the summer was Syracuse, besides the whole mono thing Syracuse is like any other city in New York State that isn't New York City, an old failed industrial town. Massachusetts actually has alot of rundown industrial cities as well, but thats besides the point. Portland was my favorite on my list of new places visited this summer. Now that I've bored you with that, I should probably say that I am feeling my old self again and I might be going to Philly this week which should be a lot of fun.
